Administrative/Biographical history:
South Kensington Presbyterian Church was founded in 1872, while the Belgrave Presbyterian Church was founded in 1846. In 1922 they merged to form the Emperor's Gate Presbyterian Church. In 1930 the church united with Saint John's Presbyterian Church on Scarsdale Villas which had been founded in 1862.

Records of the Emperor's Gate Presbyterian Church and its predecessors South Kensington Presbyterian Church and Belgrave Presbyterian Church, including Court of Session minute books, 1890-1930; Managers minute books, 1887-1930; Communicants' roll books, 1873-1887 and 1900-1928; Communicants' roll book for Belgrave Presbyterian Church, 1912-1922 (members' names were transferred to the new roll book for Emperor's Gate on June 1st 1922); register of baptisms, 1873-1886 and 1922-1930 and Baptismal certificates, 1890-1922.
