Administrative/Biographical history:
The Princess was Frances, only child and heiress of Fleetwood Wilson of Wappenham Manor, Northants, who was married to Russian Prince Alexis Dolgorouki. Alfred de Rothschild was the second son of Baron Lionel de Rothschild, and was, at various times, a director of the Bank of England and a trustee of the National Gallery.

Collection of legal documents, comprising bond and receipt relating to business matters; a legal brief in an action against Ralph Harrwood, brewer of Islington, a letter of administration relating to the estate of Ralph Livesay of Holborn, and a letter from Alfred de Rothschild to Princess Alexis Dolgorouki.
