CONTEXT
Administrative/Biographical history:
Christopher Martin obtained his MB, CM at Edinburgh in 1887, and in 1890 was appointed surgeon to the Birmingham and Midland Women's Hospital. He became FRCS in 1891, and later served in the RAMC in the First World War.
