John Skinner was Rector of Camerton, Somerset, and committed suicide in 1839. The DNB refers to this MS., when it speaks of his 'work on the origin and analysis of language, which was not published.'

'Analysis of language, and the symbols of the worship of the Sun' by John Skinner, author's holograph MS. Profusely illustrated with pen- and wash-drawings of Egyptian and other antiquities, etc, c 1830.
