Manuscript and typescript research notes and copies of papers used by Maj Peter Vivian Verney as research material Anzio 1944, an unexpected fury (Batsford, London, 1978) [1974-1978]. Papers relating to a proposed book by Verney, known as BROM (the initials of the battles of Blenheim, 13 Aug 1704, Ramillies, 23 May 1706, Oudenarde, 11 Jul 1708, and Malplaquet, 11 Sep 1709), including manuscript and typescript research notes [1974-1978]; typescript draft manuscript of BROM [1976]; manuscript notes relating to Anglo-Dutch operations at Cádiz, Aug-Sep 1702, War of the Spanish Succession, 1701-1714 [1976]. Bound typescript manuscript of an unpublished book by Verney entitled 'The gaiety and the glory: the Irishman at war', with manuscript and typescript research notes [1978-1980].
