CONTEXT

Administrative/Biographical history:

The Department of History and Philosophy of Religion was formerly part of the Faculty of Theology. Subjects covered by this department included the Philosophy of Religion, Christian Ethics and the Study of Religion. These formed components of both the undergraduate BD and BA courses as well as the postgraduate MTh, MPhil and PhD degrees. These subjects continue to be taught, but the department has now been amalgamated into the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, which is itself part of the School of Humanities.

Scope and content/abstract:

King's College London History and Philosophy of Religion postgraduate student files, 1975-1981 (Ref: KDPR/FPPG). These generally relate to MTh courses and information typically contained includes applications for admission as a postgraduate student, results, title of thesis/dissertation, references and general correspondence.

Subject to an eighty year closure period from date of leaving, but may be consulted by Departmental staff and other College members with permission from the Head of Department.
