Administrative/Biographical history:

The University of London was established in 1836 as a degree awarding body until its refoundation in 1900 when it adopted the federal structure of the modern teaching University. The Registry is responsible for the organisation and audit of academic and educational provision throughout the University, most notably in overseeing examinations and academic assessment exercises.

Pass lists for King's College London students covering all faculties, 1920-1968, 1970-1990 (Ref: UL/ER), created by the University of London Registry. Information contained typically includes name, subject and class of degree, although this is not a comprehensive series.

A copy of records of King's students, 1970-1989, is held in the King's College Archives on microfiche (Ref: K/MFF). Student examination results and some transcript information, mainly from the 1950s until present, is held by the Transcripts Office of the External and Internal Student Administration Office under the University Registry, Senate House. The Archives located in the Senate House Library also hold older University Registry records (Refs include UoL/CR).
