Context
Administrative/Biographical history:
A temporary iron church was established on Manor Road in 1876. A parish was assigned to the church in 1883 out of parts of the parishes of Saint Mary, Stoke Newington and Saint Thomas, Upper Clapton and a stone church was constructed in 1884, designed by A W Blomfield and seating 1,400.

Records of the parish of Saint Andrew, Bethune Road, Stoke Newington, including registers of baptisms, marriages, banns and church services; papers relating to parish boundaries; legal documents relating to parish properties; faculties, plans, and other papers relating to the maintenance of the church buildings; financial accounts of the Churchwardens and the Parochial Church Council; minutes of the Parochial Church Council; photograph albums; parish magazines and newsletters.
