Context
Administrative/Biographical history:
Fuller was born in 1882 and went on to study to be a solicitor before World War One. Joining the army, he rose to the rank of captain before leaving due to ill health and loss of hearing which prevented him from returning to his legal career. Fuller was interested in collecting Pacific and African artefacts and went on to become honorary curator in the Ethnological Department of the British Museum. He was also an avid antiquarian. He died in 1961.

Scope and content/abstract:
Documents, mostly British but including Spanish, French, Italian, Imperial and Papal documents, of 13th-20th centuries, acquired chiefly for their seals. There are some detached seals, proofs and casts.

Access to the items in the collection is unrestricted for the purpose of private study and personal research within the controlled environment and restrictions of the Library's Palaeography Room Uncatalogued material may not be seen. Please contact the University Archivist for details.
Conditions governing reproduction:
Copies may be made, subject to the condition of the original. Copying must be undertaken by the Palaeography Room staff, who will need a minimum of 24 hours to process requests.
